Financial Controller

About the role

Voyager Tennis is expanding its portfolio of managed tennis facilities across Australia and is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its finance function. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this hands‑on role will manage the full financial cycle and provide strategic insight to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly P&L analysis across all entities, prepare dashboards and management reports, and provide written commentary.
• Own the annual budgeting process, produce monthly budget‑vs‑actual reports and flag variances.
• Review and verify timesheets, manage payroll runs, and control operational expenditures.
• Design and implement a procurement framework, maintain a preferred supplier register and manage vendor relationships.
• Conduct quarterly financial audits, identify revenue leakage, and deliver audit reports to the Managing Director.
• Strengthen internal controls, manage the annual audit process and statutory accounts, and maintain a risk register.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, procurement and audit within a multi‑entity environment.
• Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Strong attention to detail and rigorous governance mindset.
