Financial Control Specialist – Insto Ex-Markets

About the role

The Financial Control Specialist for Insto Ex‑Markets will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, support compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and uphold ANZ’s accounting policies and internal controls. You will help maintain the integrity of financial results, drive continuous improvement, and strengthen governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and oversee daily finance operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, escalating issues as needed.
• Assist in the preparation and review of annual financial statements, schedules and notes.
• Manage the finance team and coordinate with on‑shore and external auditors for submission and completion.
• Act as subject‑matter expert and owner of centralized finance control processes, ensuring standardised execution across Manila.
• Serve as primary on‑shore interface for month‑end and control matters, aligning operations with statutory, reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Learn and apply finance control process flows, system functionalities and end‑to‑end operational dependencies.
• Apply working knowledge of accounting standards and finance policies, or demonstrate strong learning agility.
• Drive process re‑engineering, simplification, automation and centralisation initiatives to improve efficiency and control effectiveness.
• Identify risks and manage controls to mitigate them.

Required profile

• Relevant background in accounting or finance.
• Working knowledge of accounting standards and finance policies, or ability to quickly learn and apply them.
• Experience coordinating with auditors and on‑shore stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset and risk‑management awareness.
