Financial Auditor

About the role

The Financial Auditor will join the Internal Audit & Fraud Risk Management Group, reporting to the Financial Audit Division Head. The role involves planning and executing audit projects, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring compliance with SOX 404 requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute audit plans for audit projects.
• Evaluate and report on the adequacy of internal controls.
• Develop audit programs and internal control questionnaires.
• Organize audit working papers and gather evidence to support audit observations.
• Prepare audit reports on observations and recommendations.
• Conduct opening and exit meetings with internal audit clients.
• Perform follow‑up reviews to verify resolution of observations and recommendations.
• Test and monitor the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404).
• Advise and train process owners on risk assessments and internal controls.
• Coordinate PLDT Group SOX 404 readiness and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Internal Auditing, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant audit experience or experience in financial reporting and control.
• Experience in the telecommunications sector is an advantage.
• CPA preferred but not required; other relevant certifications are considered advantageous.
• Audit‑firm background preferred but not mandatory.
