Financial Analyst – Reporting & Forecasting

About the role

Northern Trust is seeking a Financial Analyst to support its Manila business unit with periodic reporting, expense analysis, forecasting, variance analysis and month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly reporting, including forecasting, P&L variance analysis and preparation of management presentations.
• Assist in annual budgeting and provide recommendations to stakeholders for key business decisions.
• Process invoice submissions, cost chargebacks and month‑end reclassifications and adjustment entries.
• Collaborate with partners in Manila, Chicago and other locations to ensure financial goals are met and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Project Analysis or related finance functions.
• CPA designation is a plus but not mandatory.
• Flexible, team‑player attitude with ability to work effectively in a geographically blended environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneDrive and Teams (Office 365).
• Experience with PeopleSoft, HFM and TM1/Cognos financial reporting systems.
• Ability to use business‑intelligence tools; Power BI reporting experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities for financial data evaluation.
• Effective written and verbal communication for presenting information to senior management.
