Financial Accountant

About the role

MicroSourcing is looking for a detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to partner with the business and provide insight for decision‑making. You will play a key role in the monthly financial close and support ongoing financial operations while driving continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post month‑end journal entries and manage general ledger activities.
• Complete month‑end and year‑end balance‑sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Prepare deferred revenue schedules, inter‑entity transfer pricing calculations, and sales commission reports.
• Process monthly capitalisation of software development costs and expense accruals.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, track CAPEX projects, and manage lease contracts under IFRS 16.
• Facilitate tax compliance (FBT, GST, BAS, PAYG, IAS, payroll tax) and support audit processes.
• Automate processes, develop internal controls, and handle ad‑hoc reporting duties.

Required profile

• CPA or Master’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, audit, or corporate accounting.
• Experience in a SaaS, technology, or high‑growth environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
