Finance Manager

About the role

Smartsourcing is looking for a full‑time Finance Manager to lead month‑end close, produce key financial reports and act as the bridge between Australia‑based leadership and the growing in‑house finance operation in Cebu.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coach the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable/Fleet, and Payroll & Compliance team members.
• Own the month‑end close process, including accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare consolidated financial reports, lender updates and monthly management packs for the CFO and CEO.
• Ensure statutory compliance, BAS, FBT, payroll tax and support year‑end audit activities.
• Review and approve bank reconciliations and safeguard financial controls across all entities.
• Assist with ERP and Xero system administration, data integrity and automation initiatives.
• Promote responsible AI tool usage, participate in AI readiness training and identify automation opportunities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, including month‑end close responsibilities.
• Proven ability to lead and develop junior finance staff.
• Strong judgment, low‑ego leadership style and a focus on process improvement.
