Finance Manager – Australia & Philippines Operations (Remote)

About the role

Staff X is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Finance Manager to own and build the finance function for its Australian and Philippine entities. This remote position combines day‑to‑day financial operations with the development of scalable processes, stronger controls, and strategic partnership with leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end payroll for Australia and the Philippines, including statutory remittances and compliance.
• Own the full accounting cycle: month‑end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain Xero files for both entities and ensure an accurate Chart of Accounts.
• Prepare and lodge Australian BAS/GST, company tax returns, and Philippine BIR filings (VAT returns and other statutory requirements).
• Coordinate intercompany transactions, maintain the cost‑plus model, and document transfer‑pricing methodology.
• Oversee invoicing, accounts receivable/payable, cash‑flow management, and multi‑currency treasury (AUD & PHP).
• Support external accountants, auditors, banks, and government agencies, including annual statutory audits.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing finance functions across Australia and the Philippines.
• Hands‑on involvement in daily financial operations and process improvement.
• Ability to develop scalable finance systems and strengthen internal controls.
