Finance and Corporate Support Audit Head

About the role

The Finance and Corporate Support Audit Head provides independent assurance and consulting services to improve risk management, control, and governance across finance and corporate support functions. This senior position leads audit activities, drives SOX 404 compliance, and supports strategic governance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audit and advisory services for finance, governance, risk management, compliance, supply chain, operations, and people groups across the PLDT Group.
• Support the IA Head in building a compliance culture, including designing and delivering training on SOX 404, COSO 2013, and emerging standards.
• Partner with Finance/Controllership to enhance SOX 404 readiness, drive automation of compliance tools, and develop risk‑based continuous auditing strategies.
• Evaluate interrelated risks, controls, and deficiencies, identify systemic issues, and propose comprehensive solutions such as process automation.
• Develop and implement an effective control environment aligned with COSO 2013 principles and SEC/PCAOB regulations.
• Manage, plan, budget, and set objectives for the Financial and Corporate Support Audit Center to ensure efficient audit operations.

Required profile

• College graduate in Accounting, Internal Auditing, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 9‑10 years of auditing experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CIA (or equivalent).
• Experience in telecommunications, finance, governance, risk management, compliance, or SOX 404 is an advantage.
