Field Service Technician - Mining Equipment

About the role

The Field Service Technician will perform basic maintenance and repair of mining and heavy equipment at customer sites and workshop locations. Working under the guidance of senior technicians, the role follows established procedures, uses standard trade tools, and supports equipment assembly, inspection and troubleshooting. The position also contributes to a zero‑harm safety environment and participates in technical training programs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance, repairs, and parts handling for mining and heavy equipment.
• Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and report hazards.
• Complete service reports, job documentation, and required records accurately and promptly.
• Communicate with customers as needed and coordinate with internal parts and service teams.
• Assist in equipment assembly, inspection, and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Participate in local and technical training programs covering load & haul, drilling, automation systems, BEV technologies, and rock drilling applications.

Required profile

• Technical background or relevant certification in mechanical, electrical, or heavy‑equipment maintenance.
• Experience with underground and/or surface mining equipment is highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and diesel equipment.
• Willingness to learn, follow procedures, and work in field or site‑based environments.
