About the role
Field Collections Officers visit clients’ residences or businesses to recover overdue payments, negotiate payment arrangements, and ensure timely settlements.
Key responsibilities
- Visit clients’ homes or workplaces to collect overdue payments.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers behind on their bills.
- Maintain follow‑up to ensure payment deadlines are met.
- Document each visit and interaction accurately.
- Collaborate with the legal team when legal action is required.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of experience in debt collection or a similar customer‑facing role.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or field‑based positions is an asset.
- Knowledge of financial or debt recovery processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clients professionally and empathetically.
- Capability to handle difficult conversations, resolve conflicts, and negotiate payment arrangements.
