Fiber Technician

About the role

AIO Wireless is seeking a full‑time Fiber Technician to join its Metro Manila team. The role involves installing, splicing, and maintaining fiber optic infrastructure to deliver reliable internet services to residential and business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform site surveys, run and terminate fiber optic cables, and splice fibers using OTDRs and power meters.
• Test and troubleshoot connectivity issues, document work, and respond to service tickets.
• Coordinate with the network operations team and provide on‑site support to resolve customer problems.
• Follow safety procedures, maintain tools and equipment, and suggest improvements to installation processes.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in fiber optic installation, splicing, termination, and testing.
• Experience with basic network infrastructure such as routers and switches.
• Ability to read technical drawings, network diagrams, and work orders with attention to detail.
• Physical capability to work in various field conditions, including climbing and lifting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in telecommunications is a plus.
