About the role

The Family Practitioner will join a modern clinic on Cortes Island to deliver comprehensive primary care to the local community. This position offers longitudinal patient attachment and culturally safe services for residents and seasonal visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general primary care, including examinations, urgent and same‑day access, and medical procedures.
• Manage chronic diseases, reproductive health, and addiction medicine.
• Conduct follow‑up care, monitoring, and referrals as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, and community health staff.

Required profile

• Medical degree and current licensure to practice family medicine in British Columbia.
• Commitment to serving a remote, rural community.
• Ability to work part‑time or full‑time in an onsite clinic setting.

• Recruitment incentive up to $20,000 (full‑time).
• Relocation reimbursement up to $15,000.
• Retention premium of 16.07% and annual flat fee of $24,896.
