Facilities Technician – Plant Operations

About the role

Allegro MicroSystems Philippines is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and optimise the core systems of its semiconductor manufacturing plant. You will ensure reliable operation of electrical, mechanical and utility infrastructure while supporting sustainability and safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled building, sustaining and preventive maintenance on plant equipment to maximise uptime.
• Monitor and optimise power, water and compressed‑air usage, identify leaks and recommend cost‑saving improvements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures quickly to minimise production disruptions.
• Track equipment health against manufacturer specifications using monitoring sheets.
• Assess layouts for new equipment, manage spare‑parts inventory and process requisitions.
• Coordinate facility tasks through the JIRA ticketing system.
• Conduct regular facility audits, guide junior technicians and oversee third‑party contractors.

Required profile

• Degree or certificate in Electrical/Mechanical Technology, Engineering or equivalent.
• 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience as a facilities technician, preferably in a semiconductor or clean‑room environment.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑departmental coordination and shift hand‑overs.
