Facilities Officer – Site Management & Safety

About the role

The Facilities Officer is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance and safety of the site. This role combines supervisory duties, vendor management and emergency response coordination to ensure a reliable and secure working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Facilities Specialist, Assistant and Multi‑Skilled Technicians, including scheduling, performance monitoring and shift planning.
• Manage third‑party contractors and vendors for housekeeping, preventive maintenance and other services.
• Coordinate equipment preventive maintenance and act as Site Safety Officer and Emergency Response Team Coordinator.
• Provide monthly utilities consumption and cost reports; monitor facility supplies and assist in budgeting.
• Develop, review and improve facilities procedures, policies and contracts in collaboration with Legal & Compliance.
• Process government permits and act as primary contact for facilities‑related escalations.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs, identify defects and schedule repairs; remain on‑call 24/7 for major issues.
• Plan and oversee refurbishment/renovation projects within schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with Security Team on safety issues and drive continuous improvement, energy conservation and cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• College degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Industrial Engineering.
• 4‑6 years of facilities maintenance or building/property management experience.
• 1‑3 years of supervisory experience.
• 4‑6 years of business continuity planning experience.
