Experienced Tax Accounting Associate – Risk Advisory (TARAS)

About the role

As an Experienced Associate in Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) you will support the execution of tax accounting engagements, gaining hands‑on experience in a dynamic global tax environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare income tax provisions and deferred tax calculations under guidance of senior staff.
• Assist in quarterly and annual tax provision management for US GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare return‑to‑provision adjustments, true‑up deferred taxes and explain them to clients.
• Calculate deferred taxes using the Tax Basis Balance Sheet (TBBS) approach.
• Prepare cash tax forecasts by jurisdiction and report them monthly or quarterly.
• Collect supporting documents and reconcile balance‑sheet tax accounts with clients.
• Prepare journal entry packages, return‑to‑provision entries and obtain client approval.
• Support specific transactions such as spin‑offs, M&A, APB 23 and BEPS implementations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 2‑3 years of related experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Strong accounting and tax technical background, including income tax accounting.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work in a hybrid office arrangement.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and adaptability to work with internal and client teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (dynamic tables, intermediate‑advanced formulas).
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS tax accounting standards.
• Experience with Tax Basis Balance Sheet (TBBS) approach for deferred tax calculations.
• Cash tax forecasting across jurisdictions.
• Preparation of journal entries and tax provision adjustments.
