Environmental Officer

About the role

ACCIONA is looking for an Environmental Officer to join the South Commuter Railway Project in Manila. The role supports the Environmental Deputy Manager in implementing, monitoring and continuously improving environmental management practices on‑site, ensuring compliance with the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) and the Construction Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (CEMMP).

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess environmental aspects and impacts of construction activities.
• Implement and maintain environmental measures, controls, materials and equipment as required by the CEMMP.
• Maintain records of environmental inspections, monitoring data and permits.
• Conduct daily site visits to oversee water quality, air quality, noise and vibration monitoring in sensitive zones.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports to the Environment Supervisor.
• Provide environmental training to the ACDM‑JV team and subcontractors on ECC conditions.
• Monitor compliance with the ECC and CEMMP commitments and recommend mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental management, preferably on infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and monitoring procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
