About the role
We are looking for newly certified Risk Adjustment Medical Coders to join our remote team on a mid‑shift schedule. The role focuses on reviewing medical records, assigning accurate codes, and ensuring compliance with risk adjustment models to support proper reimbursement.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM codes according to risk adjustment guidelines (HCC, RxHCC, CDPS, etc.).
- Validate that all documented diagnoses are supported by appropriate clinical documentation.
- Identify and capture chronic conditions that affect risk scores.
- Maintain compliance with CMS regulations, official coding guidelines, and internal policies.
- Stay current on risk adjustment methodologies, coding updates, and industry changes.
- Participate in training sessions, webinars, and certifications to enhance coding expertise.
Required profile
- Graduate of BS Nursing or a Registered Nurse.
- Newly certified CPC, CRC, or equivalent coding certification.
- Ability to work independently and meet productivity and quality targets in a fast‑paced remote environment.
Required skills
- ICD-10-CM coding.
- Understanding of HCC risk adjustment models.
- Medical terminology.
