Entry Level Risk Adjustment Medical Coder (RN, CPC) – Remote Mid‑Shift

About the role

We are looking for newly certified Risk Adjustment Medical Coders to join our remote team on a mid‑shift schedule. The role focuses on reviewing medical records, assigning accurate codes, and ensuring compliance with risk adjustment models to support proper reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM codes according to risk adjustment guidelines (HCC, RxHCC, CDPS, etc.).
• Validate that all documented diagnoses are supported by appropriate clinical documentation.
• Identify and capture chronic conditions that affect risk scores.
• Maintain compliance with CMS regulations, official coding guidelines, and internal policies.
• Stay current on risk adjustment methodologies, coding updates, and industry changes.
• Participate in training sessions, webinars, and certifications to enhance coding expertise.

Required profile

• Graduate of BS Nursing or a Registered Nurse.
• Newly certified CPC, CRC, or equivalent coding certification.
• Ability to work independently and meet productivity and quality targets in a fast‑paced remote environment.

Required skills

• ICD-10-CM coding.
• Understanding of HCC risk adjustment models.
• Medical terminology.
