Engineering Supervisor – Vessel Maintenance

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor will lead engineering operations for Fastcat’s ferry fleet in Manila, ensuring vessels and ramps are maintained to the highest safety and regulatory standards. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with operations, procurement and safety teams to keep vessel performance reliable and downtime minimal.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise engineering staff and coordinate daily maintenance and repair activities for assigned vessels and ramp systems.
• Plan, schedule and monitor engineering projects, managing resources, budgets and timelines.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery, ramps and safety equipment, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations.
• Prepare and review technical reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with procurement to secure parts and materials for emergency and scheduled repairs.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance engineering efficiency and vessel availability.

Required profile

• Graduate of an engineering course, preferably Naval Architecture or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the construction or maritime maintenance industry.
• Licensed Engineer (Naval or equivalent) with certifications in welding or related trades.
• Proven ability to manage teams, schedules and technical projects in a fast‑paced environment.
