Engineering Supervisor – Resort Operations

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor will support the Operations Engineer in ensuring that all guest rooms and resort facilities meet Amanpulo’s high standards before guest arrival. This onsite role combines hands‑on maintenance, team leadership, and coordination with housekeeping and front‑office teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms scheduled for arrival to verify readiness and compliance.
• Oversee completion and proper functioning of civil, structural, plumbing, and finishing works in rooms.
• Supervise engineering and maintenance staff in repairs, preventive maintenance, and room preparation.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Office to prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects that could affect guest comfort.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs for rooms and resort facilities.
• Perform quality‑control inspections, maintain records of activities, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Manage contractors and service providers for repairs, renovations, and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building standards, and company policies.
• Prepare reports on room readiness, maintenance performance, and facility conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (licensed civil engineer preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in building maintenance, hotel engineering, resort operations, or construction supervision.
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, plumbing, and finishing works.
• Experience in preventive‑maintenance planning and quality inspections.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using maintenance‑management systems.
