Engineer II – Structural Engineering

About the role

RTX’s Collins Aerospace division is seeking an Engineer II to design and analyze interior aircraft systems and structural components. The position is hybrid, based in TANAUAN CITY, Philippines, and contributes to cutting‑edge aerospace and defense projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyze interior aircraft systems and related components using advanced engineering methods.
• Perform complex assignments that may require development of new products, processes, or techniques.
• Assess feasibility and soundness of engineering tests, products, or equipment.
• Interpret engineering principles, theories, and concepts to support project goals.
• Participate in EHS practices, reporting hazards and recommendations to ensure safety.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in a design organization producing component‑level designs.
• Strong report writing and communication abilities.
• No current Performance Improvement Plan or recent disciplinary action.

Required skills

• Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis and classic hand calculations.
• Proficiency with PATRAN/NATRAN, FEMAP, ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar finite element software.
