Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving the electrical systems that power our farm operations, ensuring reliable and safe performance of all equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on farm electrical systems, process controllers and related equipment.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain wiring, appliances, fixtures and other electrical components using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose faults with test equipment (mega‑ohmmeter, voltmeter, clamp meter) and repair or replace defective parts.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers and other components, install grounding leads and power cables to motors.
• Install conduit, pull insulated wires and complete circuit terminations.
• Monitor electrical load to ensure usage stays within maximum limits.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, enforce 5S and ISO 9001 standards, and suggest Kaizen improvements.
• Provide on‑call support for multiple farm sites and report any Halal, food‑safety or quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communications Engineering.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or a similar field.

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
• Electrical wiring installation and troubleshooting.
• Use of hand and power tools for electrical work.
• Testing with mega‑ohmmeter, voltmeter and clamp meter.
• Conduit installation and wire pulling.
• Grounding and power cable connections to motors.
