Electrical BIM Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical BIM Technician to support our multidisciplinary engineering teams. The role involves delivering high‑quality electrical drafting, documentation, and BIM modelling for projects across health, education, commercial, civic, urban and recreational sectors. You will work closely with Electrical Engineers, Designers and other specialists to ensure accurate drawings and coordinated BIM models.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, plans and BIM models for building services installations.
• Support Electrical Engineers and Designers in design development and layout.
• Coordinate electrical drawings and models with architectural and other discipline models.
• Incorporate design updates, mark‑ups and technical instructions into project documentation.
• Contribute to national drafting and BIM standards, templates and workflows.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate project outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve drafting and modelling practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical building services modelling and drafting.
• Strong proficiency in Revit (MEP experience preferred) and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of electrical services design, documentation, model coordination and clash detection.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
