Drug Test Analyst – MedTech (Onsite, Makati)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Drug Test Analyst to join our on‑site MedTech laboratory at Ayala North Exchange, Makati. The role involves performing a wide range of clinical laboratory tests while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hematology, microscopy, chemistry and other laboratory tests following standard protocols.
• Handle specimen collection, processing, and disposal of hazardous waste in compliance with universal precautions.
• Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
• Conduct internal quality control checks on reagents, consumables and instruments.
• Evaluate test results, flag abnormal findings and promptly communicate them to healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate records of tests performed and results obtained.
• Monitor inventory levels, prepare purchase requests and manage consumable replenishment.
• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate external service when needed.
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness and orderly shift handovers.
• Assist in preparing DOH regulatory documents and participate in external proficiency testing programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology.
• Current PRC license as a Registered Medical Technologist (RMT).
• Minimum two years of experience in a primary laboratory (excluding internship).
• Membership in PAMET or biosafety training is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in clinical laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems.
• Basic computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook.
