Director, Services Business Development

About the role

Mastercard Advisors is seeking a Director of Services Business Development to lead sales and opportunity generation for its payments‑focused consulting services. The role will work with regional and global clients, shaping strategies that drive growth beyond cash.

Key responsibilities

• Develop value‑creating analysis and insights for clients and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Build strategies, propositions and operating models independently or as part of consulting teams.
• Apply quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to identify client issues and synthesize findings into high‑quality proposals and presentations.
• Lead small to medium engagements, managing project staffing, timelines and deliverables.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with mid‑ to senior‑level client management.
• Implement and communicate strategies to achieve business goals, acting as an advisor to client executives.
• Continuously acquire new knowledge and contribute to the development of intellectual capital.
• Support Mastercard Advisors and local market account teams in client relationship management and business development efforts.

Required profile

• Proven consulting experience at a top‑rated firm or equivalent business management experience within a major financial institution.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical, interpretive and problem‑solving abilities, with capacity to handle large, ambiguous data sets.
• Excellent communication and client‑management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across senior levels in a fast‑paced environment.
