Director of Human Resources

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function at our exclusive Amanpulo resort. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will shape HR strategy, policies, and programs that support a high‑performance, employee‑focused culture.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of HR services, policies, and programs across the resort.
• Serve on the executive management team and advise managers on HR matters.
• Establish wage and salary structures, oversee bonuses, raises, and variable pay systems.
• Partner with Finance to design cost‑effective benefits and recommend improvements for employee satisfaction and retention.
• Ensure compliance with all labor, legal, and governmental reporting requirements, minimizing legal exposure.
• Manage employee communication channels, including meetings, surveys, newsletters, focus groups, and intranet.
• Lead organizational development initiatives and integrate strategic planning results.
• Oversee resort‑wide committees such as wellness, training, EHS, activities, and culture.
• Inform senior leadership of significant HR issues that could impact company goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive HR experience, preferably in hospitality or a similar service environment.
• Proven ability to lead HR functions and influence senior leadership.
• Strong knowledge of compensation, benefits, labor law, and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
