DevOps Engineer

About the role

The DevOps Engineer at Axos designs, builds, and maintains CI/CD pipelines and application platforms. Working independently on well‑defined problems, the role focuses on automation, reliability, and scalability to support the company’s digital‑first financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable application platforms with a developer mindset.
• Develop and enhance automation scripts and tooling to meet evolving infrastructure needs.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across DevOps tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to evolve DevOps workflows.
• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and runtime environments.
• Participate in follow‑the‑sun operations to ensure platform stability across regions.
• Drive process improvements and automation enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Less than 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Solid software development background with hands‑on exposure to DevOps practices.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Programming in C#, Go, or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Automation scripting for build, deployment, and operations.
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure.
