DevOps Engineer – Automation Platform

About the role

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll join an international platform engineering team responsible for developing and operating a centralized automation platform used across ING. You will design and implement automation solutions that enable teams to independently manage infrastructure and application environments while maintaining high standards for security, reliability, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate a centralized automation platform built on Ansible Automation Platform and Azure DevOps.
• Build and maintain automation solutions that improve consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain Ansible playbooks for RHEL‑based systems and middleware platforms.
• Automate installation, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management processes.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and platform teams across multiple countries and time zones.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, platform standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Mid‑level to senior‑level experience in DevOps or platform engineering.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
