Design Officer – Licensed Architect

About the role

The Design Officer (Licensed Architect) is responsible for preparing and managing all architectural documentation, specifications, and coordination activities required to obtain approvals, support budgeting, and guide site implementation. The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare plans, details, and documents for management approval, meetings, stakeholder coordination, budgeting, bids, and site implementation.
• Develop specifications, material and colour swatches, OSM checklists, and cost‑monitoring reports.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and compliance with SM standards and approved design criteria.
• Initiate ordering of architectural materials through bids or purchase requests.
• Conduct site inspections, including pre‑construction assessments, mock‑up reviews, and punch‑listing.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation from start to close‑out.
• Assist DM/RDM with documentation required for management approval.
• Secure complete project close‑out, including certificates of completion and final payments.
• Draft, review, and cascade design policies, processes, and guidelines after approval.
• Perform internal audits, risk assessments, and governance reviews related to design systems.

Required profile

• Licensed Architect with proven experience in architectural design and documentation.
• Strong understanding of construction budgeting, cost monitoring, and project scheduling.
• Ability to coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• Experience in preparing specifications, material selections, and OSM checklists.
• Familiarity with policy development, internal audit, and risk management processes.
