Design Officer – Licensed Architect

About the role

We are seeking a licensed architect to serve as a Design Officer. The position blends architectural design, project coordination, and policy development to ensure projects meet timeline, budget, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare plans, details and documents for management approval, stakeholder meetings, budgeting, and site implementation.
• Develop specifications, material and colour swatches, OSM checklists, and cost monitoring reports.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets and compliance with SM standards and approved design criteria.
• Initiate ordering of architectural materials through bids or purchase requests.
• Conduct site inspections, pre‑construction assessments, mock‑up reviews and punch‑listing.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation from start to close‑out.
• Assist senior managers in securing management approvals and complete project close‑out, including certificates of completion and final payments.
• Craft and release design policies, processes and guidelines, and support internal audits, risk management and governance activities.

Required profile

• Licensed architect with proven experience in design and construction project delivery.
• Strong ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent documentation and filing skills.
• Experience in policy creation and process improvement within a design environment.
