Design Management Officer

About the role

The Design Management Officer supports construction, renovation and fit‑out projects by managing project activities and producing precise technical designs. This role ensures design accuracy, compliance with regulations, and smooth coordination between architects, engineers and the construction team.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineers to gather and interpret structural and product requirements.
• Conduct site validations and inspections, preparing detailed reports and complete electrical and MEPFS drawings.
• Calculate dimensions, material requirements and weight limitations to guarantee design accuracy.
• Develop detailed technical designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and REVIT.
• Create diagrams, maps and layouts to visualise project workflows and concepts.
• Review rough sketches with the engineering team to ensure feasibility.
• Identify and resolve design issues to improve operational functionality and performance.
• Ensure all designs adhere to relevant regulations, safety standards and quality benchmarks.
• Prepare comprehensive manuals outlining operations, features and maintenance of designed products.
• Assist with project management tasks including scheduling, documentation and coordination.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Architecture.
• At least 5 years of experience managing renovation and fit‑out projects.
• Basic knowledge of FirePro systems and MEPFS design and implementation.
• Flexibility to perform fieldwork and occasional reporting to the head office.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in SketchUp.
• Proficiency in REVIT.
• Working knowledge of FirePro systems.
• Working knowledge of MEPFS (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Safety) design.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling tools (advantageous).
