Design Engineer – Solar PV Systems

About the role

This full-time Design Engineer position is based in Cebu and focuses on creating and refining solar energy system designs. The role involves system modelling, technical drawings, specifications, site visits and close collaboration with engineering, project management and installation teams to ensure high-performance, reliable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical drawings, layouts and schematics for solar PV systems using AutoCAD.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, local Philippine codes and internal quality guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and installers to refine design details.
• Maintain organized drawing files and provide timely updates throughout project cycles.
• Assist in creating presentations, design visuals or client-facing drawings as needed.
• Proactively improve drawing templates, graphic clarity and design aesthetics across documents.

Required profile

• Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) – required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D a plus).
• Background in electrical drafting or engineering, preferably within solar or construction.
• Strong visual design sense, attention to detail and ability to balance creativity with technical precision.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
