Deputy Chief Resident Engineer (Project P)

About the role

We are seeking a Deputy Chief Resident Engineer (Project P) to lead dam and hydropower construction activities in the Philippines. The role involves overseeing large‑scale hydro rehabilitation, contractor management and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage dam and hydropower construction methods and oversee multi‑package projects.
• Administer contracts, handle claims and ensure compliance with FIDIC and government/PPP requirements.
• Implement QA/QC systems and HSE standards across the project.
• Prepare detailed reports and coordinate with stakeholders at the government level.
• Lead cost control, scheduling and planning using Primavera/MS Project.
• Utilize BIM and digital engineering tools for design and construction coordination.
• Conduct advanced hydraulic and structural analysis.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and project staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a valid civil engineering license/registration.
• Construction safety certification.
• Master’s degree in Dam/Hydropower or Construction Management.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• FIDIC certification and international dam safety training.
• 15+ years experience in dam/hydropower projects and 10+ years in construction supervision.
• Proven experience as a Resident Engineer or in similar senior engineering roles.
• Extensive experience in contractor management, large hydro rehabilitation, tunnelling and underground works.
• International project exposure and experience with government/PPP projects.
