Demolition Manager – Lead Decommissioning Projects

About the role

The Demolition Manager will lead the complete decommissioning of the Line 1 Facility, from initial surveys to final site clearance. This senior‑level position ensures safety, structural integrity, and regulatory compliance throughout the demolition lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed Demolition Method Statements (DMS) and sequencing plans that prioritize safety and structural stability.
• Conduct structural analysis of aging assets to determine the safest dismantling approach.
• Perform geotechnical assessments to guarantee ground stability for heavy equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to protect adjacent utility lines and structures.
• Lead hazardous material identification, abatement, and waste‑remediation compliance.
• Execute high‑level risk assessments for hot work, work at height, and heavy lifting.
• Investigate near‑misses and structural anomalies through root‑cause analysis and adjust methods in real time.
• Supervise specialized demolition contractors on‑site, ensuring adherence to approved method statements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Engineer status.
• Preferably certified under DOLE (COSH) and Mine Safety legislation.
• Minimum five (5) years of project planning and execution experience in construction or manufacturing environments.
