Data Scientist – Mid

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Data Scientist to join the Strategic Analytics team at Arch. The role centers on designing and implementing Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) and AI solutions for insurance claims, converting unstructured documents into structured datasets that drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, and data scientists to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Prepare and label data for document processing, and transform outputs into structured datasets.
• Develop and maintain automated document extraction and data enrichment workflows using Python and SQL Server.
• Apply AI techniques such as NLP, OCR, and generative AI to extract information from loss history reports, insurance applications, and claim files.
• Create technical documentation and implement evaluation frameworks (precision, recall, F1, accuracy).
• Monitor solution performance and build predictive models using decision trees and clustering.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to convey statistical and business impact.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative global team.
• Experience in Python, SQL, and Git.
