Data Scientist – Credit Risk

About the role

As a Data Scientist in the Credit Risk team, you will improve application and behavioral scoring models to support onboarding decisions and portfolio profitability. You will work in a data‑driven environment where models directly influence business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full modeling cycle from data exploration to production‑ready specifications.
• Validate model quality using metrics such as AUC, KS, bad rate, and stability index.
• Monitor model performance post‑deployment and trigger retraining when needed.
• Assess business impact through NPV, back‑testing and real‑world portfolio performance.
• Translate model insights into actionable credit strategy recommendations.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts and engineers to align models with business goals.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in data analytics or data science.
• Deep knowledge of statistics, probability and machine‑learning algorithms.
• Experience building or validating credit scoring models (application or behavioral).
• Ability to design features, deploy models and monitor them in production.
• Willingness to relocate to Manila.

Required skills

• Python (pandas, scikit‑learn).
• SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Statistical modelling and machine‑learning techniques.
