Data Engineer – Finance Data Integration (Hybrid)

About the role

Directio is seeking a Data Engineer to support an international maritime transportation and logistics client. The role focuses on finance and accounting data integration, building scalable Azure‑based pipelines to enable reporting and advanced analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics and business teams to design, build and optimise scalable data solutions for reporting and decision‑making.
• Design and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake and Azure SQL Database.
• Extract, cleanse, transform and aggregate data from multiple sources, ensuring quality, consistency and availability for analytical workloads.
• Model frontend, backend, ERP, finance and accounting data to support BI, predictive analytics and strategic decisions.
• Work with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle ODI, SQL, RDBMS technologies, PySpark, REST APIs and Azure platforms in an Agile environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT or Data Engineering with enterprise‑scale solutions.
• SME‑level expertise in the Microsoft Azure data stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, Azure SQL Database).
• Strong hands‑on experience building Azure‑based data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, storage and analytical consumption.
• Proficiency with Oracle Database and PL/SQL for data processing.
• Mid‑level or higher experience with Oracle ODI for data integration and ETL/ELT.
• Experience with PySpark, preferably in Azure Databricks.
• Strong SQL skills, RDBMS knowledge and dimensional data modelling.
• Background in ERP‑related projects and finance/accounting datasets.
• Familiarity with S3, object storage or cloud data lake solutions.
• Experience integrating data via REST APIs.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite in Makati, 2 days remote).

What we offer

• Salary range of 100,000 – 140,000 PHP per month.
