Data Engineer – Databricks & Spark Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain data solutions that support data generation, collection and processing. The role focuses on building robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality and delivering ETL/ELT processes across our systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark on Databricks, covering both batch and streaming workloads.
• Implement ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into curated datasets and migrate data across platforms.
• Optimize queries for speed, create Snowflake schemas and build fact‑dimension tables.
• Apply data access controls and permissions through Unity Catalog.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications and document data workflows.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues and continuously improve reliability and scalability.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with the Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
• Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture, ETL/ELT design and data modeling.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to technical discussions.
