Data Engineer – Azure Data Solutions

About the role

Thakral One is looking for a Data Engineer to design, build and optimise Azure‑based data solutions that support large‑scale analytics initiatives. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data marts and ETL pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients to capture business rules, ETL specifications and reporting needs.
• Translate requirements into technical data design specifications for Azure data marts.
• Perform data mapping and ensure accurate transformation and integration of source systems.
• Develop and automate ETL jobs using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure Logic Apps.
• Build reusable, reliable pipelines that deliver report‑ready data sets.
• Support the creation of dashboards and reports, ensuring data quality and readiness for analytics.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, flows and transformations.
• Facilitate knowledge‑transfer sessions with client teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer in Azure‑focused environments.
• Experience with data mapping, data mart design and ETL development.
• Ability to communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail.
