Data Acquisition & Enrichment Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Data Acquisition & Enrichment Specialist to build and maintain a proprietary technician database for our recruiting business. You will source licensing data from all 50 states, clean and standardize it, enrich it with contact details, and deliver ready‑to‑call lists for our recruiters. Success is measured by the number of verified, reachable technicians we capture that competitors cannot.

Key responsibilities

• Research and document how technician licensing data can be obtained in each state (bulk download, API, open records request, or permitted extraction).
• Submit, track, and negotiate public records requests, including fee handling and follow‑up.
• Build and run extraction processes using tools such as Python, Apify, Outscraper, or equivalent.
• Design and maintain a centralized, clean database with consistent fields, performing entity resolution and regular refreshes.
• Run bulk contact enrichment using services like ContactOut, Lusha, SignalHire, Apollo, or RocketReach, validating phone numbers before handoff.
• Produce filtered, call‑ready lists on demand and report weekly on database growth, enrichment hit rates, and state coverage.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in list building, data mining, lead generation, web research, or data operations.
• Proven ability to acquire data from non‑downloadable sources (records requests, bulk negotiations, permitted extraction).
• Strong written English for formal correspondence with government agencies.
• Highly self‑directed, able to own a build project with limited supervision.
