Cybersecurity Engineer – Tier 1 (Entry Level)

About the role

REST Solution is seeking an enthusiastic Tier 1 Security Engineer to support our clients and internal teams. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management while helping to maintain a strong security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze alerts from EDR, IDS, SIEM, XDR and log management tools.
• Investigate security incidents, escalating when necessary.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with remediation tracking.
• Deploy and manage security technologies such as firewalls and intrusion‑prevention systems.
• Support implementation of security controls, policies and compliance procedures.
• Prepare reports on security metrics, incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Document processes, incident response plans and contribute to security awareness training.
• Collaborate with Tier 2/3 engineers and other teams on access reviews and change management.

Required profile

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical findings clearly.
