Cyber Security Analyst (Onsite)

About the role

Join MicroSourcing as a Cyber Security Analyst working onsite at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City. You will protect the organization’s digital assets by monitoring, investigating, and responding to security incidents while supporting governance and compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate cybersecurity incidents alongside managed security service providers, performing root cause analysis and supporting containment, remediation, and recovery activities.
• Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM platforms and Microsoft security technologies to detect suspicious or malicious activity.
• Assess cybersecurity risks across ICT projects, digital initiatives, and business operations while supporting governance and compliance requirements.
• Conduct security assessments for third‑party vendors, supply‑chain partners, and new technologies, ensuring identified risks are addressed promptly.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, awareness programs, operational procedures, and incident response playbooks, promoting best practices across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in Cyber Security Operations, Governance, Risk & Compliance, or related functions.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, security controls, and incident response processes.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder‑management skills, with ability to work across technical and business teams.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM platforms and Microsoft security technologies.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS environments.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Microsoft AZ‑500, AZ‑305, SC‑200, or SC‑300.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ACSC Essential Eight, and Australian privacy legislation.
• Experience conducting security assessments for third‑party vendors and supporting MSSP engagements.
