Customer Engineer – Field Service

About the role

As a Customer Engineer (Field Service Engineer) you will act as the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading advanced semiconductor and display equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while working closely with senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior field service engineers to install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic methods under guidance.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Coordinate directly with customers to ensure smooth operation and high‑quality service.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned, including documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, trade certification or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in customer or field service support, or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.

Required skills

• Digital analytics for equipment troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Basic mechanical aptitude in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics and thermodynamics.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
