Credit Underwriter & Deal Architect – Real Estate

About the role

Lumora Capital is seeking a Credit Underwriter & Deal Architect to lead the structuring and risk assessment of UK‑based real‑estate financing. Working with an AI‑first platform, you will move beyond routine data entry to deliver high‑value due diligence and innovative deal modeling for complex asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and stress‑test detailed financial models for assets such as hotels, care homes and serviced offices, incorporating sensitivity scenarios for exit yields, cost overruns and interest‑rate movements.
• Analyse capital stacks, calculating and interpreting metrics including LTV (Day 1 vs Exit), ICR/DSCR and refinance coverage to identify transaction break‑points.
• Conduct forensic reviews of sponsor net‑worth, ALIE statements and legal structures, assessing suitability and risk.
• Leverage proprietary AI underwriting tools to accelerate risk assessment, predictive transaction modelling and stakeholder reporting.
• Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders to shape deal terms and ensure institutional‑grade credit discipline.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in credit analysis or real‑estate finance.
• Ability to deconstruct balance sheets and evaluate complex financing structures.
• Commercial curiosity and comfort influencing deal structuring and senior stakeholders.
