Corporate/M&A Attorney – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate/M&A Attorney to join a leading AI‑focused client on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and involves applying your legal expertise to ensure corporate and financial documents meet strict compliance and data‑privacy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and annotate corporate, merger, acquisition, and financial documents for regulatory compliance.
• Identify and mitigate personally identifiable information (PII) exposure, documenting anonymization best practices.
• Provide guidance on structural identifiability to balance data utility with privacy requirements for AI training.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop training resources that reflect current legal frameworks.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance measures for audit and review purposes.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in a state bar association.
• Minimum three years of experience in corporate law, M&A, or financial services with a focus on compliance and data privacy.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, or similar data‑privacy regulations.

Required skills

• Expertise in identifying PII and applying anonymization techniques.
• Ability to interpret complex legal and financial documents for AI training applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for documenting best practices.
