Controller – Full‑time Remote (Philippines)

About the role

We are looking for an in‑house Controller to own the end‑to‑end accounting function for a high‑growth, woman‑owned social enterprise. Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering with a fractional CFO, you will ensure the accuracy of financial data and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting, delivering month‑end close in under 10 days and preparing financial statements with variance analysis.
• Oversee complex revenue recognition and deferred revenue across subscriptions, gift cards, platform credits, and enterprise pre‑payments.
• Handle AR/AP, payroll coordination, sales‑tax compliance, and reconciliations for a hybrid inventory model (owned and dropship).
• Collaborate on “Cause Partner” liability accounting to separate charitable impact from standard AP.
• Develop product‑line P&L and customer profitability reports for key accounts.
• Create and maintain SOPs, close checklists, and a comprehensive chart of accounts.
• Lead audit and tax coordination with external CPAs, ensuring compliance for B‑Corp and LLC partnership requirements.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience (exceptional candidates with 5+ years and heavy deferred‑revenue exposure considered).
• Active CPA license or international equivalent.
• Proven experience in product‑based industries with inventory‑management complexity.
• Strong ability to produce actuals‑based profitability and driver‑based management reports.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Deep expertise in deferred revenue and multi‑channel revenue recognition.
• Inventory management experience.
• CPA license (or equivalent).
