Construction Scheduler

About the role

The Construction Scheduler will develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for construction projects, ensuring that timelines and milestones are clearly defined and tracked. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, the scheduler will translate project plans into detailed timelines, monitor progress, and proactively adjust schedules to mitigate delays. This role is critical for delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using industry‑standard scheduling software, incorporating all project activities, dependencies, and constraints.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define realistic project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Continuously monitor project progress, identify schedule variances, and implement adjustments to keep the project on track.
• Prepare and distribute regular reports on schedule status, variances, and resource allocations to inform decision‑making.
• Assist in resource leveling and optimization, ensuring efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Approximately 25 years of experience in construction scheduling or project management.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proven expertise with scheduling software such as Primavera.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
