Construction Project Manager – EMEA

About the role

As a Construction Project Manager for Amazon’s EMEA data center portfolio, you will lead the delivery of new data center builds and major capital projects. You will own the full construction lifecycle, ensuring projects meet Amazon’s high standards for safety, quality, cost efficiency, and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end construction process for a specific data centre site, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Serve as the primary interface with general contractors and vendors throughout bidding, award, execution, and close‑out phases.
• Lead negotiations, evaluate bids and proposals, and ensure compliance with all commercial and contractual obligations.
• Develop and issue construction scopes, requests for proposals (RFPs), and capital request documentation.
• Oversee financial analysis of construction work, including change orders and purchase orders.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary disciplines—civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, controls, and commissioning—to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction projects, preferably in data centre or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and controls engineering disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to manage contracts, negotiate with contractors, and control project budgets.
• Excellent analytical skills for financial modeling, change‑order management, and cost control.
