Construction Project Estimator

About the role

We are looking for a Construction Project Estimator to drive our bidding process. You will transform plans, drawings, and site information into accurate estimates, budgets, and proposals using our JobTread platform, enabling sales reps to review and send bids efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs by measuring quantities from construction drawings, plans, specs, and site photos.
• Leverage AI tools, including Claude and our proprietary AI takeoff system, to verify measurements and speed up the process.
• Build detailed cost estimates and budgets in JobTread, applying the correct coating systems, materials, coverage rates, and labor.
• Select the appropriate floor system for each project and ensure correct material application.
• Assemble clean, CC‑branded proposals in JobTread ready for sales review.
• Deliver bids that are approximately 95% complete, leaving only final review for the sales team.
• Maintain accurate JobTread records, fields, and cost data.
• Work quickly to keep the bid pipeline flowing and continuously learn the full estimating workflow from owners Scott and John.

Required profile

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong aptitude for measurements, mathematics, and reading construction drawings or a keen desire to learn.
• Enthusiasm for using AI tools daily, especially Claude.
• Ability to learn new software quickly and follow defined processes.
• Excellent written English and clear communication skills.
• Reliable, organized, self‑directed, and coachable.
• Full‑time availability with several hours of overlap with U.S. Central business hours.
• Stable computer and internet connection.
