Construction Engineer – Project Based (URC Calamba Plant)

About the role

Universal Robina Corporation is seeking a Construction Engineer to lead the execution of civil, structural, and architectural works for the URC Calamba Plant Master Plan project. The role spans a two‑year period and involves overseeing the construction of warehouses, boiler house, and related facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site grading, drainage, roadworks and earthworks in line with design specifications.
• Supervise structural construction, ensuring foundations, columns, beams and other load‑bearing elements meet quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate architectural finishes, overseeing installation of walls, ceilings, flooring and related materials.
• Conduct quality control inspections and tests to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Align civil and architectural activities with MEP and other trades to avoid design clashes and maintain schedule.
• Monitor project timelines and budget, ensuring expenditures stay within approved limits.
• Lead RFI/RFA management, flagging design issues and driving timely resolutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in managing large‑scale construction projects, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
