Communications Officer

About the role

The Benevola De Cebu Foundation is entering a pivotal growth phase and seeks a versatile Communications Officer to become the primary voice of the organization. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will blend strategic storytelling with hands‑on content creation to raise the foundation’s visibility across digital and physical platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Produce multi‑channel content: write, shoot, and design materials for social media, website, newsletters, and annual reports using tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Document field activities: travel to project sites, capture photos/videos, gather testimonials, and translate them into compelling reports and presentations.
• Serve as liaison with partners, media, and community leaders: draft press releases, coordinate media coverage, and represent the foundation in public forums.
• Maintain brand consistency: ensure all visual and narrative assets align with the foundation’s standards.
• Support events and donor engagements: manage media invitations, create presentation decks, and assist with logistical coordination.

Required profile

• Proactive, hands‑on professional comfortable working in diverse community settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently within a lean team.
• Willingness to travel frequently to field locations.
